Instructions

  1. For the dough, mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. Press a well in the middle. Place the yeast in the well and pour lukewarm water over the yeast and stir briefly in the well and leave for about 5 minutes to activate the yeast (light foam should form on the water).
  2. Now add a little olive oil to the well and mix everything together. Now it's time to knead, knead, knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes.... until it is elastic and even and no longer sticky. If dough sticks to your palms, dust your hands with some flour and rub them together.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour. It should roughly double in volume.
  4. Now portion the dough & form balls. Calculate about 260g of dough per ball. With 1kg of flour, this makes 6 pieces. You can simply freeze balls that are in stock for the next time you are hungry for pizza.
  5. Now shape the pizza base. Before you top it, let it rest for another 3 minutes.
  6. For the tomato sauce, mix the strained tomatoes, some tomato purée and herbs such as basil and oregano in a small bowl. If you like it spicy, add a little chilli to the basic sauce. Add approx. 80g of tomato sauce to the dough per pizza. (not too much, otherwise the dough could become too wet).
  7. place vegan grated cheese / vegan mozzarella directly on the tomato sauce. This is how the cheese alternatives melt best.
  8. Mix the almond butter with water and spread on the pizza.
  9. Choose whatever topping you like best. For example, with vegan sausage rolls from Wheaty (Gran Chorizo), or if you prefer Mediterranean food, the alternative for tuna (Veggie Like Tuna Original), vegetables, tofu... Finish with a few drops of olive oil.
  10. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven at 250 °C for about 12 to 15 minutes.
