When flushed or improperly disposed of, they can end up in our oceans – where sea animals may mistake plastic for food, with tragic consequences.
The most common alternatives to plastic swabs are paper and bamboo. Both are better choices, but bamboo is the more sustainable option. Unlike paper swabs, which often require wood pulp and glue, bamboo swabs are more resource-efficient and much sturdier.
