We have big plans. Everyone else should finally know what vegetarians and vegans have known for a long time: tofu is cool. Tofu is nice. Tofu is really tasty, versatile and anything but a meat substitute. But: Tofu has an image problem. Not anymore. Welcome to ENSOY!
It all started with Simone. As a vegan, she dealt a lot with nutrition – including tofu. But she didn't like conventional tofu. Not a good flavor, rubbery consistency. You know it. Instead of banning the soy product from the menu, she started producing her own tofu in 2019. She started in her parents' kitchen.
The ingredients for tofu are few, but that doesn't necessarily make it easy to make. Months passed before she got the hang of it. But with passion, will and patience, a lot can be achieved - including the production of high-quality tofu from Swiss organic soy. At some point, the kitchen was no longer sufficient. Machines came along and the different ingredients had to be stored somewhere. The production site was relocated to a closed cheese dairy. Word got around that good tofu was made in Amriswil, and the products could soon be found in nearby shops.
ENSOY was born in July 2021. A kitchen idea became a startup with ambitions. The goal is nothing less than the revolution in tofu enjoyment. Because hand on heart, tofu has one thing above all: an image problem. We have made it our mission to change this.
From locally grown soy, we make a food that packs a punch.
