The nettle flavor of Vegablum’s honey tastes darker and more intense than the other types of honey and is reminiscent of wild forest honey. The sweet spread contains no preservatives or flavors and is made exclusively from nettle extract, raw cane sugar, water and a dash of lemon juice.

who we are
On October 1st, 2015 Vegablum was founded by the industrious Blümchen (Danny & Stephan) in Meerbusch. Vegablum is the first manufacturer to produce many vegan alternatives to honey, mead and honey liqueur.
Homemade liqueurs made from fruits and plants are also available from the industrious flowers. In August 2017, the company moved to an old restaurant in Hagen to combine storage, kitchen, office and living. The production takes place, among other things, directly in the small manufactory and in the warehouse, the goods are packed together, glasses are stuck and sent.
It all started with the idea of making a vegan alternative to mead, as Danny always enjoyed drinking it in medieval markets. But for mead you need honey, so the two of them experimented, first with dandelion flowers for delicious dandelion honey.
When the summer was over and the honey sold out, Danny and Stephan continued to experiment and created the apple honey out of apple juice. He is already available today in many delicious varieties, such. B. ChiliX, cinnamon and vanilla. This was followed by many attempts with a wide variety of flowers, of which only a few made it into the range. But there will surely be more varieties in the future.
With the homemade honey, a vegan alternative to mead was created. This is produced in the same way as real mead, only with honey and not with honey. Most of the varieties have been sold out for a long time, but the next year is also set to get off to a flying start.
In November 2017, Vegablum launched the first bio-vegan alternatives with fair raw cane sugar on the market.
philosophy
We live vegan for ethical reasons as we fight for animal rights. We believe that animals have a right to life, freedom and integrity as we humans do.
For us it is absolutely incomprehensible how mankind can deal with living beings in this way. Animals are traded, treated and mistreated like inanimate goods. Hardly anyone even thinks about what a piece of meat or z. B. was really once a fur collar, namely a sentient being.
That is why our products are guaranteed to be free of animal suffering and palm oil free. When choosing our fruit varieties, we try to shop regionally if possible and if that is not possible, we use organic ingredients. The labels are casein free and vegan and meanwhile also from ecological grass labels.
At the same time, with our vegan alternatives we draw attention to the fact that honey is not vegan. Again and again we are asked what is wrong with taking the honey away from them. At our stall in markets we offer information and advice.
In order to make a contribution to the animals even with Vegablum, we also support well-known farms with sponsorships whenever possible.
We use green electricity in our company and print on recycled paper. The website also runs on servers powered by green electricity. Our account is with GLS Bank.
We use recycled packaging materials for our end customers. We do not use plastic wherever possible, so we need less production raw materials, which means less waste.
Likewise we stand for a friendly coexistence with business partners and competitors. We prefer a friendly "you" and try to personally eliminate misunderstandings.
We are happy if we not only make an important contribution to the protection of animals with our homemade products, but also if you like our products and, above all, they taste good!
